Pedro Szalay - Artistic Director

SVB dance productions are predominantly break-even ventures with ticket sales and donations covering 95% of total combined costs, which are approximately $85,000 for the full-length spring and fall productions. Over the last sixteen years, many volunteers have donated their time to conduct business operations anf fundraising events. Our greatest financial need is fundamental operating costs such as instructor salaries, studio rental fees, marketing, stage props and costumes. Once operating expenses are met, additional funds will be used to provide dance scholarships or lower ticket prices to the daytime performances for local school children and nursing home residents.

Our students spend many hours practicing each week, building strength, sequencing steps with the music, perfecting a performance for others to behold and applaud. You can share in their experience through financial giving and production attendance. Thanks for your time in consideration of this request and please come and enjoy the Nutcracker with us in the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre on December 16th & 17th.
