The Company
Company membership is open to all ballet students in the Roanoke region. Dancers train at the studio of their choice during the week and come together on weekends for training and rehearsals. Dancers have the opportunity to explore many dance forms, including Classical & Contemporary Ballet, Modern and Jazz, and work with some of Virginia’s most talented choreographers. 
Auditions for the 2012 - 2013 Season will be held on March 31st at the Dance Centre of Southwest Virginia. Dancers will be given a ballet technique class to assess their technical and artistic skills. Senior company auditions will be on pointe for females. All female dancers attending the audition should wear a leotard and pink tights; male dancers black tights and white shirt. Please no skirts, leg warmers or additional clothing.
Junior Company auditions for intermediate dancers 10 and up are from 9:00 to 10:30.
Senior Company auditions for advanced dancers 13 and up are from 10:30 to
12:30.
Performance opportunities include the Nutcracker and a fall and spring production. This year the company also performed at Dickens of a Christmas and the Festival in the Park.
Company membership, instruction, and costumes are provided free of charge. Membership is based on demonstrated skill level and is open to all dancers without regard to gender, race, color or national origin.
